Spotted at Grand Central

Prior to moving to New York, I created a fantasy in my mind that I would be conquering the streets in Carrie Bradshaw-esque heels and mini dresses. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely tried to the first semester of school. Only to find out that in a city that relies on walking as a primary form of transportation, heels sucked. So did mini-skirts. And thus my love of midi skirts and block heels was born.

Despite having an overflowing wardrobe, I found a hole in the midi-skirt section of my closet. Naturally, this called for shopping (or buying clothes at Ref after my shift) as midi skirts are having a moment this fall. I wanted to get one that I could wear in the colder months that didn’t swallow me up and could be worn with tights-which is where this adorable polka-dotted skirt from Reformation fit snugly into my needs.

To complete this look, I paired the skirt with a Reformation black knit top that I may or may not have worn 3 times in the past week already, added my white Veda booties, a Liz Claiborne bag I thrifted for $3 !! and a Brixton fiddler’s cap. Shop my look at the bottom of the post!
